Accessibility Statement

This statement covers this website and shop, run by North Shutter. We want everyone to be able to use the site and buy from our shop, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard behind EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act.

What we do

• Pages use semantic HTML with one main heading, landmarks and a "Skip to content" link.
• Everything works with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
• All text content is real text. The animated 3D lens and other visuals are decorative and hidden from screen readers.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, scroll animations and the 3D lens are switched off.
• Layouts adapt down to 320 pixels wide (equal to 400% zoom), and zoom is never blocked.
• Checkout runs on Stripe's hosted payment page, which Stripe builds and maintains, including its accessibility.

How we check

We test the site with automated accessibility tools on desktop and mobile screen sizes. Testing by hand with keyboards and screen readers is ongoing.

Known limitations

Some text sits over animated or gradient backgrounds, where automated tools cannot measure contrast exactly. We review these areas by hand. If anything is hard to read or use, please tell us.
